How are players assigned to teams?
Returning players have the first opportunity to at their team from last year. Players can request a team when registering. We do not guarantee placement to the requested team but will take it under consideration. As a general rule, we place girls by grade and school when possible.
Why is my daughter not showing on her team I selected or requested during registration?
Players are manually moved to teams every few days for those returning to their team from last year. Those requesting new teams or are new to the league are moved to teams in March.
What happens if the coach/majority of the team is not returning?
Players can request to join a different team during registration. We try to place girls by grade and school if possible or keep those returning members together.
When will I find out who my daughter's coach is?
Rosters are created in March. Once rosters are finalized coach's will reach out. (We can't have teams without coaches so if you are interested and able to, please consider helping! Reach out to dgil.president@gmail.com for more information on coaching in our league.)
When and where will my daughter have practice?
Practices are determined by the team's coach. Some teams practice at DGIL while others choose another facility based on what works for them.
When will schedules be ready?
Once teams are finalized, we are able to work on schedules. This are typically out in mid to late April. Games will not start earlier than 5:30 for any division.
- A League: Always plays on Mondays.
- B League: Always plays on Wednesdays.
- C League: Will flex between Tuesday or Thursday (will not be both in a single week)
- D League: Will flex between Tuesday and Wednesday.
- E League: Will flex between Monday and Thursday.

First Week: May 8
Final Week: July 10
Mandatory Tournament for A, B and C: July 14, 15, 16 (one league per day, will be determined once league begins who is playing which day)
How and when are weather changes communicated?
Weather changes are made by 4 p.m. each day. Our Board all has full time jobs and talk regularly throughout the day if there is questionable weather. PLEASE do not message us. IF we are canceling games, we notify by:
- Text messages to all teams (coaches and parents) that play that night.
- Posting on our Facebook Page
We ONLY post if games are canceled. If you don't see a post or get a text, games are on as scheduled!
